Seeking ultimately to speed up the foreclosure process and relieve the courts of some of the foreclosure caseload, Miami-Dade County is instituting to online auctions for the thousands of delinquent properties that have made South Florida a center of the mortgage foreclosure crisis. A change in state law last year, allowing sale by “electronic means,” has made it possible.

Www.miamidade.realforeclose.com will become fully operational on Dec. 7, making Miami-Dade the largest of 12 Florida counties in the process of replacing courthouse auctions with online sales. Miami-Dade officials expect the number of properties sold to reach around 1500 per week, up from the current 450, slowing the growth of an inventory of 110,000 foreclosures.

If you are facing foreclosure and were counting on the backlog of cases to help you keep your house, you may be out of luck. For actual techniques in defending foreclosure actions and saving your home, contact the offices of Wild Felice & Pardo at 954-944-2855 or via email at info@wfplaw.com.
